| Access | Park at Old Dungeon Ghyll. Follow the path towards raven crag. Middlefell buttress is simply on the left, and should be sign posted. |
| Comments | The buttress is
split at regular heights by large ledges. The rounded left rib is the
route of the popular middlefell buttress climb. The buttress reaches a
maximum of 75m.
Due to the popularity of the buttress with groups, some climbs are polished. The picture below shows John White guiding a group up the first pitch of Middlefell Buttress. Some of the less frequently climbed, and steeper climbs are in the gully to the left. |

| Local Facilities | The Old Dungeon Ghyll has excellent ice cream for sale. These are excellent during hot weather, when you come down off the crag. The prices and food here are also second to known. The atmosphere is very friendly. |
